We have recently started workshops on Scentwork
Scentwork is a canine sport created to imitate dog detection tasks.
A 'team' consists of one handler and one dog.
The aim of scentwork is to teach your dog to find hidden items
or hidden smells, often ignoring outside distractors such as
food or toys.
Once the item has been found the dog must alert the handler.
After the dog finds the item then they are rewarded with food or a toy.
Scentwork is a growing sport, partly because canines with
disabilities or behaviour problems can also take part.
