Obedience

Obedience Training.

Obedience training usually refers to the training of a dog, and the term is most commonly used in that context. Obedience training ranges from very basic training, such as teaching the dog to reliably respond to basic commands such as "sit", "down", "come", and "stay", to high level competition within clubs where additional commands, accuracy and performance are scored and judged.

At the Aberystwyth Dog Training Club we run our own courses at different levels for you and your dog. They are the ADTC levels 1 through 7.

Each level will take six-week's to complete. At the end of each course, there will be a test for both dog and handler and this test will be conducted by another of the club's trainers or a trainer from another club.

We encourage you and your dog to work through the levels; passing each level before moving on to the next level.
